Training Session
Learn how to be a great life model!
Before we begin, the training isn’t a test that applicants must pass, but a means to gain guidance and experience ahead of the applicant's first booking.
Paid work is NOT 100% guaranteed to follow, however in the history of Preston Life Drawing Group EVERY training session attendee has been offered at least one paid booking after taking the training.
Upon arrival at the training session I will chat about all aspects of life modelling including preparation, etiquette & modesty, choosing the right pose and how to sustain a pose.
Midway through the training you will be asked to change into a robe in the dressing room provided and be given the chance to sit for a couple of poses. You will be nude for the poses but clothed for the rest of the session.
I’m assuming your question about being dressed was just for preparedness rather than an issue with nudity (which would be a little odd as that’s the thing the training is set to undo). But if there IS an issue you can wear underwear until you feel completely comfortable.
You will change into your robe in the studio’s changing room and wear the robe at all times except when in pose. The poses would typically be around 20/30 minutes each. Feel free to bring a chaperone. Please allow a good couple of hours or so as the time really flies. There is a robe if you forget to bring one.

We can offer a training session at a location of your choice for £35. At the session you will receive printed notes covering all aspects of life modelling and etiquette for men and women. You may also ask as many questions as you like and have a sitting or two where you will be guided through the etiquette of life modelling. This allows you to gain experience in life modelling, boosting your confidence as well as picking up lots of tips along the way. Chaperones are welcome. Training sessions typically last at least two hours but please allow additional time if you have lots of questions.
Please note, training sessions are not essential to getting hired, but the experience is a brilliant way to introduce yourself to our organiser and can lead you to a greater confidence and positive mindset.
